Taking to the stage for the annual Nativity Play, they were absolutely outstanding…confidently remembering their lines, actions and songs as they helped us celebrate the coming birth of Jesus. What made their performance even more remarkable was that they learnt all of this alongside preparations for the recent school production.

A huge congratulations to all the students involved. These are lifelong memories they will always look back on, whether they portrayed Mary, an angel, a star, a cow or a narrator (and so many more!). Thank you to the students and teachers for their encouragement and support of the Prep team on stage, and to the parents, siblings and grandparents who joined us. 🌊Our Sustainability Leaders took part in the iSea iCare excursion yesterday and they were blessed with the sighting of dolphins. 🐬The students and Mrs O’Meara started their day in Sorrento, trawling the bay by boat to locate a local pod of dolphins and observe their sanctuary off Point Nepean. While it was super cold, they all swam in the bay too! The students took this opportunity to observe the importance of caring for our waterways and marine environments. 🐠

🙏We thank our Sustainability Leaders for having a positive impact on our local environment here at OLA too- you have helped us take good care of our school buildings and grounds.

Students explored the states of matter, created crystals, investigated melting points, compared liquids, observed gas production with a lava lamp, and so much more. Their curiosity was on full display as they experimented, questioned and discovered new ideas about how materials behave.

Such a fun and fascinating day of learning! 🔬🌟

The OLA SRC reps have been tracking how many students bring lunch boxes with zero wrappers …and this Prep class absolutely smashed it! Thanks to their impressive effort, they were announced as last week’s winning class and proudly received the Nude Food Trophy! 👏👏👏 👏

What an event 🥳 🎉!

One for the special memories!!
Thank you to our chief organiser Clifford, our P&F and all our parent volunteers. We can’t do it without you 💙. We always do it for the kids and this is a classic example. Thank you also to our amazing staff for helping make the day great too.

We raised an incredible $24,265 with PJM the highest fundraising class with $5070 and our two highest fundraisers being Isla in PJM and Jai in 2MV both raising $2500 each and in turn getting to slime the Principal 👏 !! We can’t wait to honour the children who came in with the highest fundraising for each grade. They will receive a $50 voucher each when we celebrate the success of the Colour Run at our next whole school Assembly.
